idle - Drive 2 Unite Charity Drive 2023
​ABOUT

DRIVE 2 UNITE is a Charity initiative which forms part of the idle Auto Expo. Prior to the events we host we support a cause that is much needed in our beautiful country and in 2023 our 16year old ambassador Tiamara Andrew initiated a Sanitary Pad Drive for girls from schools in previously disadvantaged communities. To support the initiative we organised a Mass Car, Bike and 4x4 run from Ferndale on Republic, Randburg to Montecasino whereby each vehicle owner had to buy a minimum of 3 packs of pads to donate at our collection point in the Piazza area. We exceed our target and had over 6500pads collected on the day which was distributed to the schools. View the videos below to learn more:

This was one of our Promo videos for the charity run whereby Tiamara Andrew had obtained the support of Musa Motha from BGT (Britain's Got Talent) fame to drive this initiative. We also partnered with Pharoah Group to get Musa in his dream car for the car run.
This was our official promo for the sanitary drive.
THE OUTREACH - PERIOD POVERTY
"South Africa is currently facing a critical issue of menstrual hygiene. Many young women and girls cannot access or afford sanitary pads, which has led to absenteeism from school, and even health issues. We aim to provide 1500 girls with a one[1] year supply of sanitary pads. Through our drive and donations we aim to meet or exceed this amount", comments Tiamara Andrew
