THIS COMPETITION IS PRE-ENTRY ONLY.

Ground Bound is our rendition of the low car limbo contest, which is for stanced or extremely low riding vehicles. Vehicles compete to see which can go the lowest under the bar. Until the invention of the low car limbo contest, there was no competitive sport for stanced cars. What you're picturing in your mind is exactly how it is! We are looking for 20 of the country's most extreme (stanced/lowest) rides to compete for the ultimate prize! Entry for Ground Bound is also open to all Urban Stance Show & Shine competitors whom have been selected for the show.

This competition will be hosted and run on both days of the idle Auto Fest show @ Mall Of Africa. It will run simultaneously to the other comps over the weekend but would have its own sponsor/s, classes and prizes. Our judges are carefully chosen and all have extensive experience with stance (fitment). If Ground Bound doesn't apply to you, then we do have other Show & Shine comps/ categories for you to enter, please see below

NOTE

All selected cars will need to be on display from Friday 29 October 2021 (Setup day).
Once the cars have been parked, they may NOT be moved for the full 2-day duration of the show until Sunday 6pm. There is overnight basement parking (ONLY if there is any bad weather forecasted overnight)
There will be Event security and Mall security to ensure safety of all vehicles.
During show times owners or a representative must man their vehicles.
There is strict Rules & Regulations to be adhered to.

COVID DATE

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, changes to the scheduled show date to a later date may be brought on by the South African Government, event promoters or local authorities. In such cases, we will communicate this to you as soon as possible.

LOWEST AIR RIDE

The lowest air ride kitted vehicle with a standard roofline which include: Sedans, Hatchbacks & Ldv's

LOWEST STATIC RIDE

The lowest static vehicle (coilovers or lowering kit) with a standard roofline which include: Sedans, Hatchbacks & Ldv's

LOWEST SPORTS CAR

A fixed-roof sports car with a sloping rear roofline and 2 (two) doors. eg. Porsche, RX7, Nissan 200sx, Supra, GTR etc

LOWEST ROADSTER

An open roof two-seat car with emphasis on sporting appearance or character. eg. Mazda MX5, Lotus Exige etc.

LOWEST ONI KYAN

The lowest vehicle with the most extreme camber.... “Oni kyan” in Japanese is short for oni = demon and kyan = camber

HOW TO ENTER...

There are 2 (two) processes to enter the comp, the REGISTRATION ENTRY & the OFFICIAL ENTRY. Pre-Entry is compulsory.

REGISTRATION ENTRY (FIRST PROCESS)

Use the Registration Tab below to register your ride.
Our registration for Ground Bound is limited to 30 entries.
Registration is FREE (No costs involved)
When your entry is received you will be notified.
Once all 30 entries are received our in-house judges will choose the Top20.

OFFICIAL ENTRY - ONLY FOR TOP20 (SECOND PROCESS)

Once our judges have determined the Top20, they will be notified of their selection for the Official Entry.
The Top20 competitors will need to pay an Entry Fee of R250.00 per vehicle for the entry to be valid.
Once payment is received, we will then broadcast the Top20 on our social media platforms.
We then take the Top20 vehicles and make a prominent exhibition of Automotive Quality at the show. They will compete for bragging rights and great prizes.
Winners to be announced at our 'on-stage' prize giving.
